We welcome you to try out a traditional Scandinavian sauna experience, where you spend 5-10 minutes opening your pores in the sauna, then head outside for an outdoor shower that flash-cools you, preparing you to get back into the sauna again. A few cycles of this creates a sense of bliss that is unrivalled.
When you’ve finished, take a dip in the Jacuzzi for a water massage that relaxes any aching muscles. By the time you head back inside, you’ll feel like a new person.

In the mornings, step out into the private garden of this bedroom and take in the soft sunlight shimmering off the dewy canopy around you.

This is the sole room in Sunnyside that comes from the home’s previous avatar. The large four-poster bed in this room comes from the homeowner’s house in Goa, reinforcing the heritage of this bedroom.

The Sunnyside living room takes on a more contemporary design, with a high ceiling, an entrance lobby that leads to two of the bedrooms and an adjoining deck where your family and friends can sit for meals or just to enjoy the outside on a warm day.
Sink into the sofa, warmed by the electric fireplace, for drinks and laughter while you munch on pakodas or masala peanuts prepared by the in-house chef.
Sunnyside Dining Room
The skylit dining room is a warm space to sit inside for dinner on a chilly night, treated to delicious traditional South Indian food. Double doors open into Woodside if you have booked the whole villa.
Woodside Master Bedroom
The Master Bedroom welcomes you to relax after a long day touring Kodaikanal. Switch on the electric fire to warm up or sit out on the deck to enjoy a book or a hot coffee against the backdrop of a verdant canopy.
Woodside Forest View Bedroom
This cosy bedroom invites those looking for an intimate stay. The view from the deck with a cup of coffee in hand is the perfect way to start a morning in Kodaikanal.
If you’re feeling lazy, slip under the covers and lower the automatic shutters on the skylight to let the sunlight filter in.
Woodside Classic Bedroom
Sleep in this charming bedroom or sit at its corner desk, warmed by the heater, to write in your diary about what you saw as you walked through the estate during the day.
Woodside Living Room
The home’s recent renovations have made the living room shine. Its new skylights and large windows bring in the sunlight and provide a full view of the woodlands outside. You can lose full days sunk into the couches, just watching the weather change.
As it gets dark, lay some drinks out on the bar, light up the wood stove, and enjoy each other’s company by a crackling fire.
Woodside Dining Room
What was once a bedroom has been converted into a comfortable dining room with French doors covering two walls, inviting you to enjoy your meal with a gorgeous view around you.
Double doors here open into Sunnyside if you have booked the whole villa.
Woodside Passageway
All bedrooms lie along the glass-walled passageway. When you wake up, just step outside and slide open the door for immediate garden access. If it’s sunny, take a seat at the desk at the end of the passage for some reading — if you can keep yourself from drifting off as you watch the trees sway in the breeze.
Garden
The wraparound garden spans two levels, with the lower level leading you to the BBQ and bonfire pit, spa, terrace, and the forest reserve beyond.
In the mornings, walk out onto the dewy lawn that envelops the house and watch the clouds roll over the hills as birds chirp in the distance.
Conference Cottage
The Conference Cottage lies within the estate, just a few steps from the home’s entrance. Use this space to focus completely on business meetings that you want to host during a company retreat, while treated to the backdrop of the Palani Hills. Then, once meetings are done, you can focus just on leisure as soon as you’ve stepped back into the home.
Rooftop Terrace
Accessible from the garden, the terrace sprawls across the top of the home, a beautiful location for drinks or a rooftop meal on a warm day.
