Built by Tamilian freedom fighter Srinivasa Iyengar in 1932, this home arose as one of Kodaikanal’s first houses under Indian ownership during British colonial rule. It was renowned for the vast 10-acre estate it sat inside, populated by eucalyptus and pear trees, and was a cherished refuge for him after stepping away from politics.
